Rightfax Error Msg

I inherited a Rightfax server a year ago. It was working ok until a few days ago when the righfax id expired. I re-certified the id, and the NAB lists the id as valid till 2011. Now I am seeing repeated error messages on the rightfax gateway that it cannot sync RF70sync.nsf with the Domino server.I looked on the Domino server but couldn’t find a RF70sync.nsf.

I have no clue about rightfax or how to resolve this error.

Any advice or insight will be appreciated.

The RightFAX Gateway for Lotus Notes® allows inbound and outbound faxing via RightFAX directly from the Notes client application. The gateway also permits database synchronization between Notes and RightFAX, as well as unified administration of both servers. Both the RightFAX Gateway for Lotus Notes® and the Notes client are installed on the RightFAX server. Using this Notes client, the gateway logs on to the Notes server and routes incoming faxes as mail messages to Notes client mailboxes, and picks up mail messages with outgoing faxes and delivers them to the RightFAX server for transmission. Is there a username associated with the RF70SYNC.NSF database? Did that user get deleted by Adminp? That would explain the NSF getting deleted. Can you restore it from a backup?

Jack,Thanks for your response. Yes, there is an id associated with rightfax. That was the one whose certificate expired and I re-certified it. We don’t have a backup of the rf70sync.nsf. Is there a way to re-create if from a template?

Helen, from what I found in the link referenced earlier, I think that the rf70sync.nsf database should be on the RightFax server itself. The Lotus Notes client should be installed on that box. See if you can find it there, then create a replica on the Domino server.

Jack,We couldn’t find the rf70sync.nsf on either the Domino server or the Rightfax server, so we decided to do away with it as it is running on NT4 and the previous guy left us with little or no information about passwords etc.
