Hi,
I have tried to create tables on richtext item in my application.
However, when the document saves, it is creating multiple items of itself.
E.g. I’m saving the table in ‘RTFSummary’ fields. When the document is saved, i have hundreds of ‘RTFSummary’ fields, each consisting of a unique item of each table cell value.
The ‘RTFSummary’ field is set computed with formula of its field name.
Please help…

Subject: Rich Text Item duplicates itself
Multiple rich text items is normal – there is a limit to how much can be stored in each item. Notes “stitches” the items together when the document is loaded.

That’s true, but it would be more efficient to have fewer items, and it sounds like most of these are nowhere near the maximum amount they can hold. NotesRichTextItem.Compact before saving might reduce the number of items and improve performance of opening the document. It might not be reduced to just one item, but that’s OK. Please post whether that works.

Thanks for the responses.I’ve found solution to my own question.
I had 2 rich text fields at the same documents, and try to save only once after I populated both rich text fields.
Found that when I save each time after I populate one rich text field, the rich text field did not duplicate itself anymore.

Hello,
I am facing the same problem with RTF field now.
I entered table of content in the RTF field and saved the document. When I look into the document properties, I can see the multiple RTF fields with same name and split content.
I understand the same problem was solved to ‘Rusyinni Rusanto’. Can you please explain me the workaround for this.
