RFC822 Text and X headers - cant format

Hi,

I am trying to pull out some information (spam reports) from a mail (by using an agent pulling the text in field X-Spam-Report) but get a strage text format (RFC822 Text) which I cant format in a proper way, e.g will the text come out like this:

“Spam detection software, running on the system “ourserver.com”, has identified this incoming email as possible spam. The original message has been attached to this so you can view it (if it isn’t spam) or label similar future email. If you have any questions, see den Postmaster (postmaster@ourserver.com) for details. Content preview: […] Content analysis details: (25.6 points, 5.0 required) pts rule name description ---- ---------------------- -------------------------------------------------- 0.6 NO_REAL_NAME From: does not include a real name 25 DANISH Spam Testbed”

But when I use the action View - > show → Page Source do I get a proper format, e.g:

X-Spam-Report: Spam detection software, running on the system “ourserver.com”, has

identified this incoming email as possible spam. The original message

has been attached to this so you can view it (if it isn’t spam) or label

similar future email. If you have any questions, see

den Postmaster (postmaster@ourserver.com) for details. Content preview: […]

Content analysis details: (25.6 points, 5.0 required)

pts rule name description

0.6 NO_REAL_NAME From: does not include a real name

25 DANISH Spam Testbed

I dont understand this. How is notes formatting the text when showing by using page source?? Is this done by an agent. What can I do so my text is being shown properly??

Thanks,

Kjeld

I don’t have an answer for you but am interested in how you pulled the text from that field. Could you post the info?

Thx!

When you pull the text, you should use the GetUnformattedText method rather than the Text property or GetFormattedText property. Whichever method you are using is stripping the carriage returns and line feeds.
