Return Receipts Disappear

I have one user that requests return receipts for most of his emails. Once he receives the return receipt, it only appears in his inbox for approximately 10 to 15 minutes. After that period of time, it is removed from his inbox. I’ve checked for agents, and rules but nothing seems to be activated to remove these receipts. I’ve run fixup, updall, and compact on the mail file and it still happens. If I restore a backup copy of his mail file, all the return receipts appear in the inbox. Any ideas would be appreciated.
