Restricting access to an email group

I was hoping someone had some insight into a problem I’m trying to solve.

We have an email group in the primary address book that we would like to restrict access to (consists of external email addresses). As it’s in the primary address book, I can’t simply deny access through the database ACL as the users still need access to other areas in this DB. I have stopped other notes users being able to access this individual group by simply going to document properties, security and restricting the users who can read it here (and of course given the localdomainservers access).

The problem I have here is that external users outside of our domain (i.e. googlemail) cannot send to this group (i.e. restriced@zxy.com). Is there a way to enable this so I can restrict internal users and allow any eternal users access? Or another way of looking at it, could I enable full access to this email group but blacklist users (i.e. have an acl group consisting of all our internal users and then prevent their access to this one email group by blacklisting the group)?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks!

I believe you can accomplish this by a right click on the group name, then selecting Document properties, then clicking on the key icon. Uncheck the box indicating access allowed to all readers and above, then populate the entries in the box of allowed users.

Subject: try MK Email Size Limiter

From www.mknetwork.comHere you can put flexible policies for internal users easily and the rejection is done in the workstation itself (so no NDR is generated but the user is forbidden as soon as he/she clicks on Send)
