Hi All,
I have documents that are restricted by readers field. These documents are not shown in a flat view to the user but are displayed in a categorized view. However user can not open them by double click. I tried rebuilding the view index and do not show empty categories is checked on view properties.
What could be the problem?
Thanks
Basir

Try these:Compleat Reader and Author Field Troubleshooter
tool to analyze whether current user can read/edit a document
Given that you are experiencing a problem only in a categorized view, I would’ve said to look at the Don’t show empty categories option, but you already looked at that. Still, I would check whether the view row showing the information that’s supposed to be hidden is actually a category row, by highlighting it and trying to get document properties. If you can’t, that’s a category. Are you using Categorized as flat option?

Thanks Andre, everything complies to the material you sent and yes, both categories and documents are displayed in the categorized view. The user can not view document properties, it throws the “you are not authorized message”. The same things happens when user tries to open the doc.
The user can not run your “ExplainMyAccess” agent as well because it says he is not authorized.
Another not categorized view that has the same selection formula does not display any of the documents!

I’m out of ideas; you might contact support.

Is the database local or on a server? Is the view private, or shared?

It is the same from both server and local replicas, the view is shared
