We just had a server crash. Was running Domino 5.0.13 under AIX 4.3. Had current backups. Decided to upgrade to AIX 5 and Domino 6.0.2 CF2. Got the server up and running. Restored some databases from backups that had default set to “no access” and only certain people allowed to access them thru ACL. No one in the ACL list can now open them. They all get a “This database has local access protection and you are not authorized to access it locally” message when attempting to open from server. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

Give yourself full access administrator rights, open the databases, remove all acl entries, add the entries back, close the database, take away your full access rights.Full access administrator rights ignores enforce a consistent acl setting and any acl rights.

Belated thanks for your response. Been so busy fighting this problem, haven’t had a chance to repond.
I tried what you suggested. I must be doing something wrong. Putting my name in the “full access administrator” field on the server doc doesn’t give me full access to any databases on the server. My name is also in the “regular” administrator field. Can it only be in the one field to be effective??? Or does the “full access” field override all other fields?
Thanks for any help. We are still locked out of about half the databases that we restored from tape. That in itself is puzzling. You would think either all databases would be affected or none of them…
