I am have an issue with my Resource Reservations system in Lotus Notes 8. I can not approve any more room request. I hit the approve button on the room request and nothing happens. The room requests are then held in the “Waiting for Approval” folder with an hour glass icon and a notepad icon with pencil. The request never goes on the Resource Reservations system calendar.The system has worked perfectly for over a year until now.
I do get one error message on some entries.
Error message:
An error occurred while validating the available time for this resource. Please try again latter
Does anyone have any ideas of how I can fix the problem?

Ok, with ‘owners’ there are 2 kinds of Waiting for Approval (WFA). The owners approval and then the ‘systems’ approval (aka RnRMgr).
Once the owner clicks on Accept does the doc get saved again or does the window stay open?
If you open the request again from the WFA view, does it say “Waiting for owner approval” or “Waiting for system approval”?
You mentioned getting:

This is the error that the template displays when it is unable to check the busytime of the room / resource you are requesting. It does this to prevent anyone from saving a request for a time that is already book (and thus annoying them big time). So if the template cannot get the busytime, it displays the dialog above and prevents the save.
If you can see the scheduling UI grid in the reservation (towards the bottom), click in the grid under any date and see if there is a message displayed to your Status bar. If so, thats the real error. Addressing it should get you going again.
Typically I’ve seen this when there is an issue with the users home server not being up (but is clustered). There are times when the busytime lookup will not get rerouted to the clustermate for looking up. Again, clicking on the scheduler grid will give you the error on the Status bar.
