Hi There,
I’m having a strange problem with images and viewing them in the notes client. We have a system which automatically generates emails, what is sent out is controlled by what is in certain fields in a config doc - the user may attach images in these fields eg for a footer or header, etc.
When the user sends the email the images appear as a red box with a x in the top corner (similar to web). Also it seems that the user is having issues with some of the text not appearing which is entered into these fields.
Now when “I” edit the same config document and insert the same image in the field above the one already inserted, then send the survey, my attached image appears but the others added by the user still do not. Weird huh?
Anyone have any idea’s as to why this might be happening?
Thanks,
Andrew
Subject: Image Red X in Notes Client
FYI.
This problem seems to be related to the client on the users particular workstation. I had the user take their ID File and access the system through another computer and everything seems to work fine. I read somewhere that there was an issue with earlier client version (pre R6.0.5) which had to do with MIME images not displaying correctly, but this user was using R6.5.1 - the same version client as me. So I’ve just arranged for the user to contact tech support to have her Lotus Notes client re-installed.
Hope this helps someone!

Subject: [RESOLVED] Image Red X in Notes Client
This is something do with the MIME images i guess, for which user need to get authenticated with . In notes even users have connected to internet. it does not pick up the authentication details. Users need to enter their proxy details in location documents proxy field. Go to Location document and click on proxy propellar icon and enter rthe authentication details…there you go you see everything in order.
Cheers
