Reset Guest Password Issue

Hi,

After upgrade to Connections 7 the guests users are receiving invalid password reset link. Any ideas?

have a look at CS0183555, the reset password was broken in 7.0 Invite, not sure if the fix is contained in CFIX 7.2105, but I think there was an update available.

Yes, There is a Defect Article which is in resolved state->

It says the issue is fixed in CFix.7.0.2105.

The invite function is working fine and new external users are successfully created.

We have an issue with reset password only.

Have you tried this on other browsers as well? Is the error same on all major browsers?

I guess you need to verify the URL which was used->

  • Provide the URL that will be used in email invitations to generate a link to the registration page. Set the value to the base URL of Connections unless you have a reason to use a different URL. 
    <pre-register>
             <registration-base-url>your_url</registration-base-url>

As I said Invite and Registration are OK. Only the password reset is not working no matter the browser

No, the KB article is different and this is resolved. Same ticket describes the rollback to 6.5 jar, because of a password reset issue.

So I assume this is not fixed in 7.0 and not tested from my side in CFix 7.0.2105, will do that soon. As far as I can remember it is a type conversion issue and the calculated time is always wrong so the reset does not work.

Have you installed the Cfix 7.0.2105? I tested and can reset passwords after installing the CFix.

I can confirm this. Reset guest password was broken with 7.0, but is now fixed with CFix.70.2105.
