Background: Clients running Lotus Notes client 6.5.5

I have created a Lotus Notes client discussion database on our server.

I have added a group Social Committee as Authors to the ACL.

When I fill in the My Interest profile document and get to the first field:

“Inform me of new documents by these Authors” I select a group on our network - “Social Committee”.

The group Social Committee consists of about 10 individual users. I am one of the members in this group.

When a new document is created or modified and the agent run I do not see the newsletter email message in my inbox.

However, if I go back into the My Interest Profile view and add my name directly to the list so it now appears as the following:

"Social Committee

“John Falloon/BCSC”

I do get a newsletter email message with doclinks for any new or modified documents.

My question:

Can you only enter individual user name authors into this field on the My Interest profile document. In other words entering a group of authors will not work?

I believe a group only works if you have an Authors field on the documents that contains that group. The agent is going to look at the authors field on the document, not the authors in the database ACL.
