REPOST : Problem with ACL

I have a web application. I am not able to properly set the ACL.

Actually, I need to make the form editable to that user who has created it and readable to other users. I am not able to do this.

Please help me let me know what entry I have to set in

  • ACL

  • Maximum Internet Name & Password

  • What author or reader field I have to put on the form?

I tried a lot but not able to resolve it.

Thanks in advance.

I have done with all the solutions given in last post but again it is not letting the user to edit his own document. But when I did the same thing i.e.

User 1 : Author in ACL

User 2 : Author in ACL

Maximum Internet name : Author

Author Field in the form is “Computed when composed” with the formula.

in the new database then it is working fine.

@name([cn];@username);

Subject: REPOST : Problem with ACL

As you mentiond, have a author filed having the formula@name([cn];@username); for editing the doc submitted by the owner.

For reader access to others,

Create a role in the ACL (e.g [Read]). Have a reader filed in the form, it shoul be compued one and should have this role in the formule like “[Read]” . Enable this [Read] role for the group of people to whom you want to give read access.
