Repost, please help: Print document with extended footer

Normally letters in companies are printed on business paper with all related information on the stationary. But it is much cheaper to print these information together with the letter. Now, the footer in the forms are limited to 256 letters. And formatting is also very limited.

Therefore I need a solution with this features:

  • No installation on clients (distribution of a DLL to the users home directory may be ok)

  • No installation on Domino server

  • Support for Notes RichText including tables, bold, text size

I thought of gererating a PDF file using LotusScript or java and add a footer this way. But I found nothing in this direction.

Why can’t you write a function that plops down your Company info via a button on the toolbar. That way your users can put that wherever they want with the click of mouse.

In my experience, accomplishing what you need to do is best done using “something” external. You yourself mentioned creating a pdf; there are tools out there helping you to do this, but in my opinion that 's rather complicated. I find it much easier using your old local office installation, be it MS Office or OpenOffice or whatever you like. It’s not too complicated to get you’re printable richt text data from Notes into the target office doc. And there you can prepare headers and footers along with all flexible parameters you need to have. There are also lots of tools out there like NotesToPaper or Shireburn’s Integra, just to name a couple. If you wish you can send me an email should you need a personal recommendation
