Repost: need help with $ref and parent-reponse relationsship

hiisn’t Field $REF enough criteria for parent-response relationship??

In all hierarchical views of our database only some response documents show up but

ALL have the same value in the $REF field.

I could restore by Makeresponse but there are over 8000 responses for one document.

So another question:

Is there a Maximum Number for Responses for One Document?

I don’t know about response limitations, but modifying 6000 documents with makeresponse shouldn’t take long on reasonably recent hardware.

Thanks a lot Peter, I see there is no other workaround (may be Fixup?) but it seems a little bit mysterious
