We have one user who gets the error, “The Linked document cannot be found in the view” every time she tries to reply with history to any message in her inbox.
We have already tried the following:
-
Replaced the design
-
Did a compact
-
Did a fixup
-
Uninstalled the client rebooted and reinstalled.
-
Opened her mail database on another machine and tried it from there and it worked fine
Anybody have any other ideas?

just a thought…is her location document pointing to the correct server and mail file?
She can create and send a new memo with no problems?

Thanks for the response Sally!
For both your first and second question the answer is yes. The only problem is with reply with history. She can use ever other reply option without a problem.

I had this problem with a user who could not reply without history, as it were, but when replying with history did not have the same problem. We use a custom mail template based on the extended R6 iNotes mail template, and when I replaced it with the normal R6 mail template, the problem disappeared. When I reapplied our custom template, the problem didn’t come back.I had also previously tried all those things you mention to no avail.
I guess it’s a little unpredictable!

You mentioned you uninstalled it, but try it again and make sure to delete the Notes folder and then clean out any registry entries pointing to Lotus/Notes then reboot. Had the same problem and this worked for me …
