Replication or save conflict

We have the names.nsf replicate in more than one Domino Server. We have changed the same groups in 4 replicas and now we have a replication or save conflict.Do someone know how to delete this conflict?

Subject: Replication or save conflict

Ricard,

It sounds like you caused the replication/save conflict because you made updates to four replicas when in fact you should have only performed the update in one of them and allowed replication to propagate the changes to the other replica DBs.

The replication/save conflict is just a document. Delete it the way you would delete any document. However, like any changes you make, you should only do this deletion in one replica DB, not all of them, or you will end up with more replication/save conflicts.

Thank You. But i want to know how I should delete this documents because i’m afraid of deleting the names.nsf.

Ricard,

Do you know how to delete a document in general (forget replication/save conflicts)? Deleting a document inside names.nsf will not delete the names.nsf database.

If you want to be absolutely sure the replication/save conflict document you are about to delete is the one you wanted, view the document properties, and check the fields.

You open names.nsf to the view where you see the replication/save conflict document and select that doc so it has a box around it. Then press the Delete (or “Del”) key on your keyboard. This will put a trash can icon in the gutter on the left. Press the Esc key and when you exit, you will be asked to confirm that you want to delete 1 document. Say yes. That’s all there is to it. Do not repeat this procedure in all the names.nsf DBs, just do it once.

Yes. I know how to delete a “normal” document but I don’t know how to open this document, when I click on it I open a group of mi directory, not the replication document. Thank you for your time.

Subject: You might to know what is different between the two documents …

… and if you don’t mind using a third-party solution, take a look at List Fields (http://www.listfields.com). It has powerful features to show you all differences between document, and replication- and save conflicts in particular.
