Hi all,
I have a huge database. 800,000 docs
It has a replica on another server.
We needed to make changes to almost every document + import 250,000 more.
To speed up the process the changes were made on 1 server and the import was run on another replica.
Now I am replicating the DBs together. It has taken 6hrs so far using Push replication from one server.
Can I start a Push replicator on the other server ? Or even start a Pull on the other server ?
Or will this cause issues?
Cheers
Paul
Changes have been made to almost all documents
Subject: Replication of very large database - Can you use 2 replicators?
What is the network speed between the replicas?

We have the servers on Gig network, although the database concerned is now 31GB - 1100000 documents
It probably took 18hrs to complete the Pull Push Replication.
Both had 800,000 at one point.
Then one had all 800,000 edited with a new field and the other replica had 300,000 docs added.
Cheers

Tommy,
Only one replicator will run against a single db. Having multiple replicators will allow concurrent replication of multiple db’s, though.
