Replication events not logged between Domino 6.5.6 and new 8.0.2 server Domains

Building a new 8.0.2 server and new Org and Domain to migrate existing Domino 6.5.6 mail and existing Domain to new server farm. Need to do this while company is spun off while remaining business units stay on 6.5.6.

I have cross certifed and can connect, I can replicate from the workspace. There is a connection doc set to enable replication. There is a External Domain Network Information doc set up on the 8.0.2 server.

Problem: when trying to Push or Pull files from the console (either 6.5.6 or 8.0.2), console reports that cannot find file or path to server. Also , the 8.0.2 server does not log the scheduled replication events. This has to be a fundamental oversight on my part but wondering why I cannot issue a sucessful push / pull but “can” replicate and copy files using the 6.5.6. client to the 8.0.2 server ?

Subject: Solved

Basic but critical step in a migration plan. I had some files with replica stubs on the opposing server but not for all. Because executing a Push/Pull/Replicate command from the console or event from the Admin client tools-replicate requires a replica on the opposing server, these commands failed on files that did not have replica stubs (i.e. on the 8.0.2 server.)

However, still not sure why the 8.0.2 server did not write even a failed event on the scheduled replication log.

This was the give away when using Tools - Replicate, would be great if this message can be added to the event log "Unable to replicate with server /: None of the selected databases has a replica on the server .
