I upgraded our Domino 7.0.3 server to Domino 8.5. It is de admin server in a Notes domain with 2 other servers. Before upgrading I disabled replication of the Domino Directory, names.nsf.
Now the 8.5 server is up and running 5 days and I saw that names.nsf is not replicating to the other servers.
When I check the repilcate status of names.nsf in the Domino Admin client, it is enabled. But still I see in the replication section of log.nsf that replication of names.nsf is disabled.
How can I enable replication of names.nsf again?
In the replication history the last replication is just before the upgrade, when I disabled replication.
When I enter the command in the server’s console, the database replictes (repl names.nsf).
What exactly did you do to disable replication of the Domino Directory before upgrading?- Were any Connection Documents modified?
Was the “Temporarily disable replication for this replica” property within Replication Settings → Other enabled?
Is the Replica Task running on the 8.5 Server? Is it defined in the “ServerTasks=” line of the 8.5 Server’s notes.ini?
What is the Replication Topology defined for the 3 Servers?
Is this Server clustered with any of the other 2 Servers?
Try creating a new Connection Document defining a Scheduled Replication from one of the 7.0.3 Servers to the 8.5 Server and determine whether any errors are generated when the replication takes place.
As I wrote in my question, I have upgraded the first 7.03 Domino server to 8.5. I also have to upgrade two spoke servers.
Will replication start when I take a OS copy of names.nsf from the hub server and copy this to the spoke servers? (Suggested by John Paganetti in a presentation about upgrading to 8.5) ?
