Replacing design on folders to $Inbox

Last Saturday we upgraded Domino from 7.0.4 FP2 to 8.5.2. I have successfully upgraded the design of my mailfiles.

Automatic upgrading of my folders reports that it was successful, but none were upgraded, i.e. emails listed in the folder look like the version 7 list rather than the new version 8.5.2 Inbox.

When I try to manually upgrade any folder to the $Inbox design, I get “Field is too large (32K) or View’s column & selection formulas are too large”.

Another thing I noticed was that in the manual upgrade, a lot of the folders were not from the Inbox syle, but another folder (called “BrainBuzz”) that was in the old style. I tried upgrading the design of this; didn’t work, so I deleted it and recreated it in the new Inbox style, but upgrading the other folders still results in that error.

However, creating a new folder, going into “Advanced”, setting “Copy Style From” to “Inbox”, and copying mails from the old folder to the new one allows the email to display as the Inbox format.

Is there any way of fixing this/automating the creation and copy of emails from the old folder to a new folder based on the new Inbox design?

Regards

Stephen

Have you tried upgrading only one folder using the manual upgrade option and choosing Inbox at the bottom to upgrade too?
