I have checked the status of port 1352 through nping.exe it is configured to the lotusnotes
Sometimes i get this “Unable to find the path to the server”.Error
My Client setup is :-
We have 6.5 client from china who connect to domino server 6.5 through the internet. There is no domino server in china we just connect directly to the domino server through the internet.
My network structure :-
I am trying to connect to the my domino server through a adsl line .We have a router connected to the asdl line .The router is connected to the switch(hub).I have even connected one machine directly to the router but still that error keeps coming.
I am able to ping the domino server even the website on the domino server is opening without any problems.Users from other location are able to connect the domain server without any problem through the client.Only this location has the problem.
Is there some virus …or is that some antivirus problem which is not allowing users to connect to the domino sever, any suggestions will be greatfull.

hi,
cant be a virus problem. try telnet 1352 from the client machine to see whether u get connected. my guess is that there is some port translation issue on the adsl router. is the client using a public ip or private ip ? check the adsl settings and see if the ports are being mapped properly. i think the domino server cant sent its reply back to the clients notes port due to a port translation problem.
cheers

Are you connecting via a dns name? If so, try making a new connection document with the IP address instead of the dns name. I’ve run into that problem with one of my clients, I think there was an issue with that person’s ISP DNS servers.
Worth a shot.

Firstly, has anything changed?
I agree with the last post, create a connection document in the local users name and address book for the server you wish to contact. Ensure that the only port enabled is TCPIP, and also ensure that the tcpip options box is changed from the default timeout of 5 secs to at least 30. We have several users who connect to out notes servers for email through the internet and reside in china. We are in the UK!
Use the trace connection to see how you are getting to the server…unless you have a local connection document it wont know how to connect. DNS is used, but alas that is irrelevant unless your server has a DNS name assigned by your ISP. In other words no one in the world will know of its existance!

Hi, I have few clients connected via Wireless Network in Riyadh operations warehouse and notes client 6.5 was working fine and suddenly notes client giving error message “The Remote System no longer responding”. All other applications are working fine such as UNIX and MVS connected to other servers. However Lotus Notes server is in diffrent City but can’t understand why all of a sudden it stopped. We have tried pinging the lotus domino server and getting reply, we also tried telnet 1352 from the client machine and it is getting connected. The same client machine we tried connected in other location 20 min far from this Operations warehouse using DDN connection, same configuration and the client got connected without any problem. Can anyone help in this regards. The wireless supplier claims configuration on his end is fine but then don’t understand why all of a sudden these three clients giving error message “Remote system no longer responding”. Can any one mail me the attachment of NotesConnect (Nping) TCP/IP diagnostic tool which is Windows 2000/xp compatible. I already tried downloading but it does not seem to be executable or zip file but an unknown format from the link provided in the threads. Thanks
