Relink the doclinks

Hi All,

We have moved two Dbs (say ‘A’ & ‘B’) from one server to another, In a document in db “A” was a doclink to a document on db “B”. Now that these db’s have moved, it appears the doclinks are still trying to point to the db’s on the old servers. Is there a way to mass adjust these??

If not, we’ve just shot ourselves in the foot.

Any help or suggestion will be appreciated…

Thanks in advance…

I think what u should do is , first you should have taken a replica copy of the database in the server where u want to move and u should have deleted the original copy. Then goto ACL change the administration server to the current server.Im not sure if u have moved by this way … if so it should work

The second way is that u can do is take the OS Level copy and paste in the same place as it was there in the original server. Goto ACL and change the Adminsitration server to the current server.

Please let me know if u have any queries regarding the above two methods …

And please let me know how you have done the Move to the next server.

… you may also scan with lotusscript the rt-items, and update every document link elements in them… but it is a very heavy thing…

Hello Yennick,

Thanks for suggestion.

But, this is the very last option to go for since the number of documents is very large.

Thanks

Hi Ramesh,

Thanks for your response.

We created the replica by copying the DB at the OS level.

We have not yet deleted the Dbs from the previous server, and I checked the Administrator server in the acl for new Db, it by itself is set to current(new) server.

I think after we delete the Dbs from old server, the doclink will start going to the new Db.

Thanks
