We have activated an external relay server for our outgoing mails, so I have set up the “Relay host for messages leaving the local internet domain” field.
Now router takes a lot of time to start transfer thread to relay server. If I stop and start router or use “route *” command on domino console, the router immediately transfers all messages in mail.box to relay server.
it’s because the domino server process the email for external domain (destinated to the realy host) in your mail.box every 15 minute by default… so, if you need to speed-up this task, just set the Initial transfer retry field… on the administrator help, or in this forum, search for -Initial transfer retry- and i’ll find all that you need
