Reinstall domino server

helloi would like to reinstall my domino server and “reapply” the current configuration.

what is the best way to do that?

which are the file that should be taken from the actual installation folder and copied again into the new installation one?

(obviously apart the mail files , the notes.ini, and the NAB)

anyone can help me?

Hi Nicola,

What’s the reason for reinstalling your server?

It’s easier to answer your question if that’s clear…

Subject: RE: reinstall domino server

Did you compare the time of the crashes with the tasks running on your domino server?

You should take a good look at your antivirus and things like that… google a bit on the combination of mcAfee en domino

Furthermore you could try to disable your ‘servertasks=’ in your notes.ini.

Start your domino server

Wait a while till you are convinced things are running allright, then start the tasks one at a time, each time waiting for a while.

Subject: RE: reinstall domino server

well thank you for your help.however if i went for the idea to reinstall … it means that i checked everything …without solution

i would like to have a CLEAR installation, and then copy in it the file that actually are needed

so my question is:

which other files are necessary to be copied , in addition to names.nsf, notes.ini, server.id and the mail folder?

thanks
