Redhat ES 3 and R6: it works

Hi,for those who can’t wait for the next release of R6 (6.04 and 6.51) here is how to make Domino work on Redhat Enterprise versions.

Problem ist JRE which crashes when started under RH ES 3.

To get it running do a manual server setup,

download JRE 1.3.1 from here Java SDK,

install it and exchange the domino jre wit the new one.

Just do some symbolic links and it works.

This clearly unsupported but everything runs fine here.

This method also works for fedora

Have you been able to run domino 6.0.3 http server on rhel3? I uninstalled the 1.41 jre and reinstalled the one you referenced above. Now, when loading http in domino, I get a segmentation fault 11.

If you would confirm what versions you successfully ran domino http on, that would be great. Thanks!

No, I haven’t tried that but believed it should work.
