Yes, if you select a widget in the My Widgets sidebar panel you can either right click and choose “Remove Component and Action” or you can hit the delete key. If you installed these items from a Widget catalog that you have setup, you might be prompted with a dialog that says this:
“One or more of the selected items are part of an updatable configuration. If the configuration is updated, the items will be added back. Do you want to receive future updates to this configuration (and thus, have them added back)?” Yes/No/Cancel
If you choose Yes here, the widgets will come back upon catalog replication. Note that this option/dialog has been removed in future releases of Notes.
You should not be getting multiple of the same widgets back in this case. Can you provide more information on the steps you are taking to remove the widget and which widgets you are using?
As for getting the "‘Updating Composite Application Editor Palette job’ error message… Was the widget removed from the My Widgets sidebar panel? Was it removed from the pallete named My Pallete in the composite application editor? Your log files would give us a bit more info on why this occurred. Can you provide them?
When attempting to right click on the widget in the My Widgets panel when using an Apple Mac, after being asked to confirm (“Do you want to remove the selected item”) and confirming, the system comes up with an error.
Error window heading says “Problem Occurred” and the text of the error message is ‘Updating Composite Application Editor Palette job’ has encountered a problem. Error. When clicking on Details>> it just says “Error”.
