Perhaps this process could be incorporated into the Notes client logon/startup process with an option to perform database cleanup after logon validation and before the application opens.
I am still stunned, that you seam to think that this is necessary. - I would think something is wrong with your installation, but not more processes missing.
I grant you that this is a rare need but when it is needed try to explain to the poor non-technical laptop user that they have to do x then y and then z to fix things up or that they have to wait for a technician to come visit them.
I’ve seen various issues with a local replica (of both mail and db’s) since I started working locally on both my laptop and on others probably starting with ND5.x. Just last week I helped a co-worker running 6.54 who had issues - just removing the cache.ndk appeared to solve his issue but three months ago a full nfixup, etc was needed.
occasionally there are issues on the local that need to be addressed for one reason or another - most seem to be when the laptop crashes when notes is doing something locally. Another instance where this has been needed is when a defrag is done (I haven’t nailed it down to which ones but the native windows seems ok) which causes corruption in the db (index I believe).
