Hi All,
I’ve read most of the threads here related to SPAM products, but have not come up with any solid recommendations for Domino products from Administrators who use them.
We are very unhappy with our current ‘solution’, and need to find a product that integrates with Domino well, leverages it’s strengths, and has a solid feature set. False positives are our biggest issue right now, second is the amount of SPAM making it through, followed by usability.
Does anyone out there have a product in place that they use, administer, and truly love and can recommend?
I’m starting a list of products and will probably end up with a matrix I can post, if anyone is interested.
“If you use it and you love it, clap your hands!” Thanks!

Thinking long term, it’s best to block spam/virus emails before they reach your Domino servers, or better yet, block them before they get to your network. We use Postini.

Hi. We have two solutions. One is a Domino server add-in and the other a java based smtp proxy which also integrates with Domino. I am happy to assist you with a trial and provide software for you to test with. Please contact me at general.info@drcc.com to arrange it.

We use Spam Assassin installed in linux redhat, since 3 months, and it’s worked very much.
The advantage of this solution is that it is entirely free

Hi,
we as a small company (30 users) are really happy with ASSP.
Its not a real Lotus Notes-solution as it is placed before you actual server as an SMTP-proxy.
We did not tested any commercial products but tried open source first, so I cant say much about other.
The best features of this solution is the automatic addition of addresses to a whitelist and that the sender recieves immediately an information when his mail should be blocked.
Bye

Hi,
pherhaps take a look at my DomSpamC/DSCLearner. It’s an integrated spam solution for Notes/Domino.
DomSpamC/DSCLearner is an interface to SpamAssassin (http://www.spamassassin.org). It traps incoming SMTP emails and transfers them to the spamd (SpamAssassin daemon) which is on your internal network. So the efficiency relies on SpamAssassin, which is the real no 1 of anti spam filters. (search the web)
One chart to illustrate DomSpamC:

DSCLeaner is an Domino server task which enables users to learn/unlearn/filter emails from Notes client.
Here the DSCLearner chart:

Requirements: DomSpamC (Domino >v6.x), DSCLearner (Domino >v5.09), Domino Web Access interaction (Domino >v6.5.x), Win32, Linux
