Recipient user name not unique. Several matches found in Domino Directory

Hi,

I am running 6.0.1CF1 as a additional Server on windows 2000 ADV. server.

we have Domino 5 also in our organization, two of those R5 users are getting Recipient user name not unique. Several matches found in Domino Directory error when mails are sent to them.

While creating newmemo to these users, it finds several matches with simillar personal settings from NAB. but if i look on domino directory there is only one user by this name.

I checked their local names.nsf also there is no entry for the simillar users.

Can anyone help me why this happens…

Thanks

Shankar

I have run into this issue with R5. In the user’s current location document, click on the Mail tab. In the ‘Recipient Name Lookup’ section, make sure it says “Stop after first match.”

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Yes the setting is stop at first match only.

I removed the user from domino directory, but still my newmemo picks up his address and sends mails… and after few min. i am getting mail file not found. When the user is removed from domino directory itself how it finds the username automatically and sends mail.

thanks

I know this is basic, but make sure this user is not in your local address book in any format.
