When our server sends mail to a user, I am seeing the following error from the server log: “Recipient address rejected: defer_if_permit requested”. Searched around for an explanation to this error but couldn’t find anything. Can anybody help please? Thanks.
Subject: Recipient address rejected: defer_if_permit requested
Sounds like a message from the target SMTP host, so you would have to check with the recipient’s IT department… maybe something like a greylisting feature ?
