Replicator page: Synchronize contacts turned on (but the recent contacts are definitely not in my Mail file (only the my contacts)
I’ve established the recent contacts filter parameter (DPABRemoveRule=) in the Notes.ini to skip the internal/company users from being added to the recent contact list.
=> unfortunately this is not working as expected => any idea ?
I’ve deleted the recent contacts already several times (put in trash and then empty trash) but they always reappear after 10 minutes. Any idea where they coming from and why the keep coming back ? (I’m not the only one who’s experiencing, some colleagues experience the same problem.
These are comma separated substrings. Do not enclose them in Quotes. Do not have leading spaces. for example DPABRemoveRule=foobar.com,foobar2.com. The leading trailing problem is fixed in next FP.
After emptying Contacts Trash. Send yourself a message. This triggers to update the DIP table marking these as deleted.
I was having the same problem with reappearing recent contacts. After upgrading my client to 8.5.2 (to try out the more granular recent contact settings), I purged my collected RC’s, but they kept returning. Sending e-mail to myself didn’t solve the problem. I deleted the com.ibm.notes.dip folder and it appears to have done the trick.
There is a closed, “non-reproducible” SPR out there: SPR RSSA7RZKFN. They think it’s resolved in “pure” 8.5.1 environments. This may be true (I’m running 8.5.2 client with 8.5 template), but it may be worth reporting this behavior if you see it.
Deleting C:\Program Files\IBM\Lotus\Notes\Data\workspace.metadata.plugins\com.ibm.notes.dip folder worked for me. However if this is a roaming user, you need to open the roaming user database roaminguser.nsf for that user and delete the entry for com.ibm.notes.dip also. If you do not, the contacts will reappear the next time the user logs in and replication occurs.
