We have at least two end users that when they send e-mail, at least one of the receiver’s of the e-mail can’t read it because it’s encrypted. I have talked to both originators and they swear they don not have encryption turned on. I guess the question is either a) how do I fix the encryption key of the two senders or b) how do I fix the encryption key for the receiver? I have had this happen several times as we migrated our certifiers.
Subject: address book
check the sender’s local address book for an entry for the receiver who can’t read the mail. Maybe there is an old person doc with outdated certificate info in there. If the sender does have the user in his/her contact then delete it so that the certificate from the person doc on the server is used. Presumably this is correct.
To test, you try sending the recipient a test message that is encrypted. If the same user still has troubles then the Public Key on the users person doc on the server may be bad. If this is the case just copy the public key from the user’s Notes ID into the user’s person doc on the server.
