winclient → aixdomino → proxy → isp
Notes 6.0.2 client has mail on server, Incoming POP setting requests mail from proxy & leaves mail on server.
(Under ‘normal’ operation I would not keep mail on isp mail server.)
On first replication: ‘remote system no longer responding’ but mail is downloaded.
On second replication: (original downloads are still in inbox) ‘remote system no longer responding’ no mail is downloaded.
QUESTION: Does 6.0 examine existing mail and replace it with download, or deny the download?
On third replication: (original downloads are placed in trash can) ‘remote system no longer responding’ no mail is downloaded.
SAME QUESTION: Does 6.0 examine existing mail and replace it with download, or deny the download?
On fourth replication: (original downloads are completely deleted) mail downloads again. I see a ‘x of x updated’ at the progress bar. Sometimes I see ‘0 sent 2 received’ at the database line. But usually see ‘remote system no longer responding’.
Besides the fact that I’m tired of seeing this ‘remote system no longer responding’ message, what the heck is going on here?!
