We are using Verse and most of our users do not have Notes id.
Message recall seems to need a notes id as a requirement, but I don’t read this anywhere in the documentation, and… I don’t understand why this shoud be mandatory ?!
Can anyone tell me if I can enable message recall in Verse without creating Ids for all my users, and, if it’s possible, how ?
We’d like to verify a few details to help check further:
Do you encounter any errors when attempting to recall a message?
Please note that message recall must be enabled on the recipient’s home server. Could you confirm whether this setting is set? Could you provide a screenshot of the Message Recall configuration?
What versions of Domino and Verse are currently in use?

No error is raised on the user side :
-if the user has an Id, Verse ask for the password.
-if not, no error is displayed, the recall request is sent, but nothing hapen.
The server console just display a discrete “09/24/2025 09:06:21 Could not open the ID file”
No matter on my lab environment if the user has an Id in the vault and the passwords are synced.
My principal question is “why message recall needs to access the user id ?!”, and the subsidiary… is ther a way to disable that ?
