Hello,
I have a view which is used on a web. There are documents which does not have any Readers or Authors fields in it. I want to give a security like, few documents should be visible to Group1, and rest should be visible to Group2, and all should be visible to Group3.
I have created the Readers and Authors fields on a document. I also created the fields on a Form1, using which the documents were created.
I chose the appropriate groups by editing the documents in Notes Client. But when I open the view on web with different user names login, I don’t see any effect. All the groups 1…3 have Readers access in an ACL. This is a web based application which requires web authentication.
Any idea what is wrong.
Thanks

I suspect there may be an issue with the way you have created the readers fields on the document(s).
If you look at the document properties in a notes client, does the readers field show Field Flags: SUMMARY READ-ACCESS NAMES
If you’ve added the fields to the documents via an agent, can you post your agent code.

Thanks for your reply.
Yes readers fields does show that with names.
I have an agent with following code, I ran on selected docs only.
FIELD Authors :=“”;
FIELD Readers := “”;
x;
SELECT @All

Two options:
-
Set the readers fields in LotusScript, and use the READERS field type or isReaders property to ensure they have the right attributes. If you need any help with this try searching this forum for isReaders, there are bound to be plenty of examples.
-
After you’ve run your formulae agent to set the readers fields, run a second agent that simply does @Command([ToolsRefreshSelectedDocs]);. Side effect of this is that it may recalculate fields on the document you don’t want updated.
