HiBit of an odd one and it may be how notes works.
we have docs with readers fields and a view that displays them. If I am in the readers fields, I obviously see all the docs and if I’m not, then I don’t. However, if I select all docs in the view I always get the same doc count even if I remove myself from the readers fields of some docs.
I thought that if you can’t see a doc in a view then it wouldn’t get included in the count.
Has anyone else seen this?

authors fields double as readers,or do you maybe have a role which is member of readers content fields.

HiThanks for the reply. I am not in any role or authors fields and I can’t see the documents at all. I can just see them included in the count when selecting all the docs in the view.

The count is stored as part of the view’s index, and is done by the server, which can see all documents.
The count is NOT calculated every time a user opens the view, and so cannot count just those documents the user can see.
