Hello. I have a problem sending a external mail but only with one user. The error is “Error 551. This is a not relay host - mail must be to or from host domain”. The configuration is the same as all users, but only in this one fails.
Any solution?

Does the user in question have a non-standard name in the mail preferences “this mail file belongs to” (Tools \ Preferences in mail db).

It looks me like a problem in the users location-document. Check the field “Send outgoing mail” in section “mail”. Maybe here is configured “direct to internet” ??

The error that was received was generated by the recipients server. If domino was to rejecting a user/server the error would be something like “554 rejected for policy reasons”. Can anyone else from your company send to this domain/user? Take a look at this technote. Here you will find the errors that domino would display if we were to reject a user/server. I bet if you check your log you should see that the message was transferred to the recipients server.
