R9 install log.ntf missing on Linux CentOS 6.3

Hi,

I was performing a R9 Domino Server 64 bit install on CentOS 6.3 64 bit (which is new to me), and the server would not start after configuration (setup).

error:

“Unable to open log file /dominodata/log.nsf: file does not exist”

“Server exiting: File does not exist”

There was NO log.ntf file in the data directory.

I copied a log.ntf file from another server, and it created the log.nsf and started properly.

Question: Is there an issue with the 64 bit linux build missing “log.ntf,” or was this an anomaly? (No time to test further or submit PMR)

Thanks, Jeff.

Subject: I think that was an anomaly

I happened to install Domino 9 / 64bit on a CentOS 6.4 box today. The installation went smoothly, no issues, log.ntf was present as expected.

Subject: Could you send me or paste here your /opt/ibm/domino.install.dat

and also check if you have /tmp/nuish.err
You also could send me (ikhasin@us.ibm.com) your DomnoInstall.log located in /opt/ibm/domino/notes/latest/linux
Thanks,
Irina Khasin.
