I just upgraded my mail template to R6. The server it resides on is R6. I can’t get the colors to work in the inbox. I have searched this forum and several others with not much luck.
Anyone have any ideas?

I also just downloaded the 6.0.3 client and didn’t help.

Humm - mine was broken, just managed to fix it, added/removed a few names from each list and refreshed the view - and hey presto.

From designer if the column No Refresh is checked then that element will not be overwritten.
Another method is to look at design/properties and if “Prohibit design refresh or replace to modify” is checked. The former method is much easier to see across many elements.

There is no checkmark in that column for the Inbox folder in either my db or in the template db.
I did notice though that when I replaced the design to a template I have not messed with, the custom buttons at the top of my inbox view did not go away. I am now investigating that.

also, 6.0.3 is a much better release and there are new mail template enhancements. Any chance of upgrading to that release or 6.5?

Ok. I discovered that if I replace to the original 6.0.2 Ex Mail template everything works great. If I replace to copies of that template I have customized with extra buttons in the Inbox view, the colors break. I have to use copies as I don’t have a way of limiting viewing of those buttons and limited licenses for the apps. I am considering dropping the custom buttons cause I don’t think anyone is using them. That would reduce my templates from 4 to 1 again (yay!).
I upgraded my client to 6.0.3 last night thinking that might help but nada. We are going to move to 6.5, but not until the first of next year. We are moving our corp offices to a new building and are not taking on any more projects.

Access control is set in Notes1/NotesWeb nd6forum.nsf to not allow replication from bp\nd6forum.nsf

nothing. that is the problem. I enter names, set the colors (nothing fancy, just primary colors) and tell it OK. The view stays the same, even after shift F9 rebuild.
