R5 Client and R6 Databases

What’s impact if Client on R5 and databases on R6 ?

Can we still access mail and other databases on R6 format in R5 client? what are the issues ?

If the database is on an R6 server and the client is R5, there are no problems unless the DESIGN of the database is an R6 application (meaning that R6 only features are used). Simply putting the database on an R6 server and accessing it with an R5 client will not cause a problem.

You have not answered my second question, if mail database templates on R6 on R6 server, can I access with R5 client.

Will they be able to access it? Yes. Will it function correctly? No. Any R6 specific code would not run and cause errors.

But you do not need to upgrade the design of the mail template. Just keep the R5 template.
