I have a code which uses RemoveFromFolder method and PutInFolder method. When a user with Editor access run the code, it works fine. However, if the code is run by a user with Author access and below, the code won’t work… It seems that the user is not allowed to use the RemoveFromFolder and PutInFolder method…
Can anyone give light on this?

Well this shoul not happen, as user with author access and create document access can put in folder / remove from folder, just make sure user has proper access on the documents which need to be moved to from folder.

There is an Authors field in the document and a Readers field.
The user is listed in the Readers field but not in the Authors field.
Is this the reason why the RemoveFromFolder and PutInFolder command does not work?

Possibly because it is updating the “folderreferences” property of the notes document? I’m not sure, but it makes sense if the user is not in the authors field then they can’t update anything on the document.
