Subject: Question about LotusNotes support for MAC OSx
Hi Fernando,
Only the Lotus Notes client is supported on the Mac OS X 10.x operating systems.
Lotus Designer is only supported on Microsoft Windows.
Lotus Domino is supported on Windows, Linux (Red Hat, Debian, etc.) and other server operating systems.
As for Mac PowerPC vs. Intel microprocessors, if memory serves me correctly, an announcement was made at Lotusphere that an upcoming release of Notes 7 will be supported on Mac OS X using the PowerPC microprocessor, but not the Intel microprocessor. (If I am wrong about this, please let me know!)
I am not certain when Notes will be supported on Mac OS X using the Intel microprocessor.

Damn…
The reason i want a apple notebook, is because it was love at first sight( sorry my poor english),
the HP one, has a nice setup
the Pavillon zv6270 - AMD 64 3500+ , 1gb RAM, ATI XPRESS 200M 128mb dedicated.
but apple is so beautiful jajaja! im love with it man !
But i cant buy a apple without domino designer support, cause the more important reason for buying a notebook is to use domino designer and everything about lotus.
Do you know more info about this announcement made at lotusphere? when it will be realeased …
i could wait 1 or 2 months to designer be supported, but cant wait 6months, an year! i need now !

Get the Apple. With the Intel chip on the MacBook Pro and Apple’s new Boot Camp dual boot software, you can boot into Windows (with separately obtained license, of course) when needed and run Designer, or even Domino.

An even better solution is to look for virtualisation software solution on top of Mac Intel hardware (Macbook pro for example)
With some network trick, you can have the Mac side ping within the virtual machine Domino server and design and test booth for Mac and Win client at once… while on the road!
