My colleague had sent a mail, but she received the failed message like below.
Error transferring to xxx.xxx.com; SMTP Protocol Returned a Permanent Error 550 5.0.0 abc@abc.net… You are the weakest link.Goodbye.
I couldn’t find any answers from web site like as google, this site and so on.
Plz the one who knows abouot this teach me.
I’d appreciate your prompt reply.

I’m going to have to pick myself up off the floor. FUNNY! I would have to send a message to the webmaster or sysadmin of that domain saying thanks for making my day! Then I’d send a few more emails to the address that failed. I’m cheap to entertain.

It means the email reached a mail server with an admin with humour. The mail could not be delivered, for instance because the user is not known. Server sends back a non delivery notification. The error message text can be customised.

While I don’t usually customize those messages (you can see that it confuses some people), I really appreciate the humor in it.
I’m still laughing at the error response.

I have never seen the [You are the weakest link…] message before, but googling for SMTP error 550 gives me that the message is not delivered because there is no mailfile assigned to the emailaddress:
550: Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable (E.g., mailbox not found, no access)
