Problems with Traveler client on Nokia 5800

Hi Guys,

I don’t know if other people are experiencing similar issues, but this seems pretty consistent to me. I am using Notes Traveler on a Nokia 5800, and it is doing a couple of odd things.

  1. Even though it is all set to Auto Sync, it doesn’t seem to sync by itself at all. I only get new emails etc. when I manually trigger a send-receive through the Traveler menu. It wasn’t always like this. It worked OK for the first couple of days.

  2. If I start a new email message, the new message opens on the screen with the cursor in the recipient field, which I can type into OK, but then I am unable to move to the next field (subject field) and the only option I have is to send. Likewise, if I go through Contacts on the phone and pick a contact and use the “send email” option, I get a new message with the contact in the recipient field, and my cursor in the subject field, and I can type a subject, but I am unable to move through to the body field. And again, all I can do is send the message as is. If I reply then I am OK, because the cursor comes up in the body already. Basically, you are unable to “tab” to other fields on a new message in the Traveler client.

Phone is running S60 5th Edition.

FYI, I have a client running about 4 E71s on Traveler, and they experienced similar issues with the lack of Auto syncing.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Chris Fox

I’d recommend upgrading the Traveler server and client to 8.5.0.1-LNT-CF1 which can be found on Fix Central. There were some Auto Sync issues resolved in that level of Traveler.
