Problems with Statistics collector

I am runing the statistics collector in one of my servers. It was collecting statistics every 60 minutes (free space in data path and so on). It was set up to collect statistics from all the servers in the domain.

Suddenly, it stopped collecting stats and gave up creating the statistics documents in statrep.nsf that were being created every hour.

The ncollector tasks is running and idle and you can send a “tell collector collect” command and everything works fine (i.e., a document for each server is created). So, manually, it works.

I am not aware of any change in the configuration at all.

Does anyone have any idea about what might be going on?

Thanks.

Subject: Problems with Statistics collector - instances left open

Similar to what we have - one server collecting stats for a number of servers in the Domain, but there are multiple ncollect threads being kept alive to the same destination servers, long after the connection should have dropped. Either that or surely the stat should be collected using the existing connection.

This is killing our firewall, so any help mightily appreciated
