Hello,I have two forms fEmpDb and fCertDb and two views vEmpDb(Id,Name) and vCertDb(Id,Cert_name)
I have a editable number field ‘Id’ and computed field ‘Name’ below it on fEmpDb.
For ‘Name’ field on fEmpDb im using @dblookup(“”;“”;“vEmpDb”;@Text(Id);2) / @dblookup(“”;“”;“vEmpDb”;@Text(Id);“Name”) and this does not return anything.
Also for both the views, when I use the view selection property the view does not show anything (only shows contents when select @all is used).
Please help me out. Please pardon my ignorance if I am missing something very basic that is causing the problems as I am new to Notes development.

SELECT @All returns all documents in the database.
View Selection formula should be SELECT Form=“fEmpDb”. If you still have no documents then are you sure that documents exist with this form? Has the form been renamed or do the documents have readers fields on?
Also Id is an editable field. If a user enters a new Id for which a document does not exist then your @Dblookup will return an error.

Thanks a million Matt for all the help!!I tried what u had suggested but now the field ‘Name’ with the @dbLookup that you provided me with gives no value.
The application runs without error but no value is extracted from the view vEmpDb. The value I ask for to be looked up is there in the first column of the view and the same column is sorted in ascending order too.
