Problems viewing Office 2003/2007 file types

Hello,

we use the Notes 6.5.5 client on our network and some users don’t have MS Office installed on their PCs.

When they receive an attachment, they have to use the view option as they cannot open the attachment.

This seems to work fine with Office 97 and XP but not the later and latest versions.

Is there anyone that thas a work around for this please?

You could check the release Notes for 6.5.6 if the viewer component has been updated, but I wouldn’t bet my money on it. The only other option is to either install the Office products in question or to check whether Microsoft has updated their free Officer Viewer applications for the new file format already and install them. I don’t know if they did.
