Problems sending mail from a web application

I’ve created a Domino Web app that sends an email. When running this I watch the server console and see "Transferred 1 messages to mydomain.com (host blah blah) via SMTP.

This tells me that Domino is setup right and doing its job right.

It’s running on a Windows 2008 server, It looks like the firewall port is open, the antivirus email monitor has been disabled to exclude that from the problems and I’m not sure what else to look for.

I changed the computer name to the same as the common name of the Domino Server, before I did that the domino console was was saying that it couldn’t find host.

Trying to use telnet, but I don’t think any of the servers that I’m telnetting too allow telnet access (yahoo etc.)

Would be great if someone could tell me if there is something else I can check and how to test if my outbound port 25 is open on the server. The Windows outbound rules for the server a open by default (so it says!).

Any help or pointers much appreciated.

Thanks

Ross

Subject: Only certain addresses

It would seem that it is working, but only for some email addresses.

It’s working for my yahoo email address, but not a personal domain name. When emailing my personal domain the email should be caught by the catch all rule and forwarded to me, but this doesn’t happen. It does happen normally and I’ve just tested with this specific address using a proper email client, to ensure that address can receive email.

The received email has a crazy layout Administrator/MyDomain%MyDomain@67.12.217

No idea what the numbers are, not enough for an ip address. Could this have anything to do with the problem.

Any ideas??

One step further though…
