Problems during upgrade from Domino 5 to Domino 7

Hi,

While performing upgrade of Lotus Domino from version 5 to version 7 I was facing the following problems.

I performed the upgrade according to Lotus Documentation “Upgrading to IBM Lotus Notes/Domino 7.0”

The problems showed only after upgrading to new design. I used the following command:

convert –u mail* mail7.ntf

First problem I faced was that there were some Folders missing. After upgrading the design, some manually created folders were missing.

The second problem is that when I open a mail I receive the following message:

Type mismatch on external name UIMEMODOCUMENT.

When you press on OK you will receive the following message:

Variant does not contain an object.

Any idea how to solve these problems?

Type mismatch on external name UIMEMODOCUMENT

You have to be sure that the new design of archive database have been actualized ocally… Sometimes you have to replace design with dwa7.ntf template in local archive database, it solves the problem

May be try from Notes Client open mail database and do :“Actions” → “upgrade folder design”
