Problem with subscriptions: "Monitor has already been registered"

Hello,

I hope my english is not to bad, because this problem is quite difficult to explain.

We used successfully subscriptions with Notes5 /Domino 5 during a long time.

Problems appeared when we upgraded our server to V6.5

At first, no updates appeared in the headline.nsf, while new documents had been created in our database.

I deleted in headline.nsf the subscription document and created a new subscription in our database.

Then appeared in the subscription status view colum the following error message : “Monitor already registered, no action taken”.

I tried to delete headline.nsf in order to start from scratch, but the problem remains the same.

I noticed something that is very queer : whenever I delete the headline.nsf and restart my client, a new headline.nsf is created and some time later, subscriptions documents (the same I erased before) appear in the headline.nsf database, without me doing anything, and the status remains the same (monitor already registered).

I upgraded the client to 6.5 : it changes nothing

I upgraded our database format to V6 : it changes nothing.

I have no more idea : I can’t figure our how subscriptions documents can’t be created, without me doing anything, in headline.nsf, which is a local database !

As somebody a tip ?

I can’t provide a solution to your problem, but I can tell you we’ve been experiencing the same thing for more than 6 months with nothing more than the following from Lotus:

On 10/31/03, we were told the relevant SPR is DHAN5RGUNG. Note that I’ve never found any information on this SPR, and that I can only assume it is still unresolved, since they haven’t called to tell us otherwise, as promised.

Does not surprise me since the mail rules run on the server, not the client.
